first raised bed attempt and items...

used 6-6 ft. fence boards...

tripped about 2 inches off

top of each board...

trim 2 boards in half...

need at least 4 feet

of 2x2 for corners

trim to 4 equal lengths

using cheap common nails

attach long boards to a

2x2 board on each end...

then attach 2 small boards

to each end with nails...

used leaves for bottom...

layer of manure...

another row of leaves...

double layer of manure...

added top soil around each

bedding flower after planting...

added a little more top

soil after a week settling...

materials over $10 for each

3' x 6' raised bed that come

to about 11 inches high...

flowers or veggies...

using mostly dried manure, if

someone has it, gives super

draining in monsoon rains...

but could require daily or

every 2 day light watering

other wise...

but no fertilizer needed...

will be topping with a

light layer of leaves

when temps start rising...LJ
