Examine this for context:

The first time that I can find that EKSO announced they had contracted by the DARPA was through Boston Dynamics in 2014 when Ekso wasn't even on the NASDAQ yet:

Ekso Bionics Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB:EKSO), a robotic exoskeleton company, announced today that it was selected by Boston Dynamics, now part of Google, to continue developing technologies for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA's) Warrior Web Task A project.

Then this was released in 2016:

"This is the fourth time DARPA has tapped the company’s Ekso Labs™ division for its unparalleled exoskeleton knowledge to develop a more advanced generation of exoskeletons."

So at least two of the times DARPA has "tapped the Company" have been completely unreleased it would seem to me.

I'm relatively well studied in examining unclassified secret projects and I can tell you that the lengths certain agencies will go to keep a project secret can be absolutely staggering. Sometimes entire groups of people will be working on a project thinking they are involved in it when in reality the project has a second group doing even more classified work on it, all within the same company. The project manager at the time that I heard explaining this referred to it as "the mushroom patch" because the people working in the section were kept in the dark and fed a lot of shit. It's clear why this would be useful in guarding secrets.

My belief that Ekso is still involved with the TALOS project is basically an educated guess, not something with a foundation. I do know the project is still on track for release and that I haven't seen any other exoskeleton groups announce they were involved with TALOS. I also know it's generally the governments model to contract out the work to public companies instead of trying to create the infrastructure to build things themselves when the scale gets large, so I would guess it's unlikely that Ekso Bioncis gets left in the dust while the project continues on.

As for the DARPA's Warrior Web, I think I remember New Balance, Under Armour, and the Wyss Institute possibly having certain roles.

Another aspect I think that is worth mentioning is that Ekso Bionics has had a lot of other government contracts/grants/donations. The National Institute of Health, the National Science Foundation, Soldier Strong, Fraternal Order of Eagles...

Especially look at Soldier Strong, they the following groups giving donations: WWE, United Rentals, Honeywell, GE Foundation, General Dynamics, and American Airlines (not sure if AA is still a partner)

So EKSO has had a ton of funding outside of just selling shares. They've been scraping it up from a ton of sources. I'm certainly not a believer in conspiracy theories, but if as a country you were trying to hide how big an emerging industry was getting - having networks like this could allow the market cap of the companies involved to appear deflated from the outside, dissuading the competition from being quite so eager. I have zero evidence in suspecting this, but it is remarkable how much funding Ekso has received outside of traditional investors.
