Should have deleted the old tweets before last night's game.

From hero to zero: Villanova's Donte DiVincenzo's Twitter account is shut down after 'racist, homophobic slurs are found on his timeline dating back to 2011'
DiVincenzo scored 31 points in the Wildcats' national championship game win over Michigan to earn the Final Four 'Most Outstanding Player' award
In the hours after the game, DiVincenzo shut down his Twitter account after offensive tweets were reportedly discovered on his timeline
The school initially released a statement claiming his account was hacked, but then withdrew that statement because the tweet in question was from 2011
DiVincenzo did confirm that the account was his, but denied tweeting the slurs
According to USA Today, the tweet was quickly deleted after DiVincenzo was asked about it and his Twitter account has since been shut down
DiVincenzo's Twitter account had reportedly gone unused since 2016
