April Instructors Announcement (NOTE: April course is now full)

Chief Clifford LeFever, of the Glassport Police Department in Western Pennsylvania, will be sponsoring a less lethal Instructors class in April of 2018. The purpose of the class is to get 15 area instructors from 9 different agencies familiar with the new Lamperd Less Lethal OC Pepper Blast. They will be the first Instructors in the US under the new program. The program is being offered for free to these key agencies as a part of a pilot program through Lamperd Less Lethal in Western PA. They will use the device for police-related duties and will introduce the product and concept along with training to their respective school districts as a safe alternative in use of force when dealing with an active shooter. The program, targeting school districts in their areas, will give teachers a distinct advantage in surviving an active shooter event and will give them the option to “Throw and Go!” which will give them and students time to get away from the hot area where the active shooter is. The device will temporarily debilitate the active shooter until law enforcement can engage them. The training will be conducted by Ed Bogats, Jr. Ph.D. of EJC Security Services, Inc. who is the Master Instructor Trainer for Lamperd Less Lethal.
