Your story caught me by surprise since people don't use copper anymore unless it's an old house.

Hopefully my story is now ingrained in your brain with the image of the water fountain.

Plumbing through the years has gotten cheaper and cheaper.

They now use copper tubing for gas lines instead of black threaded pipe.

PVC has replaced copper for water and PVC has replaced cast iron for sewer.

Even the water lines have gone down hill with some gray flex pipe with copper crimping.
