That's right kids, our very own Uncle Posco started making the "real deal" Lithium hydroxide inside its steel mill in Gwangyang South Korea. Automakers would love to use Lithium hydroxide instead of LCE since the hydroxide form requires less cobalt in a car battery to stabilize the chemical reaction. And as we all know, cobalt is getting harder to procure (see mess in DRC) and more expensive by the day.

PS, So are you kids out there wondering where all that raw lithium will be coming from in order for Uncle Posco to produce that finished product of 1,500mt per year of Lithium hydroxide?
