I posted that because it demonstrates how support for computing intensive operations is quickly changing. It used to be that only companies like IBM, Cray and NEC had the know-how to build world class supercomputers. But, IMO, this changes everything. It seems to me like the centralized notion of supercomputing is dead.

With IBM's G5 running on Mac OSX (Unix BSD) or Linux - you can scale up to whatever your needs require - with dirt cheap off the shelf parts.
