A "private meeting with energy officials" and MMEX seems highly unlikely, especially in Fort Stockton.

Rumor has it that Mad J. got banned from Jaguars, and Platinum in Odessa for bad behavior - trying to tip with vouchers for worthless MMEX shares.

There are no "gentleman's clubs" in Fort Stockton, good folk and all that... so where would Mad J. and these "energy officials" be having a meeting?

Maybe Mad J. and the Lemon are partying in the parking lot of Pilot/Flying J, their "bidness partners?" There's lots of "entrepreneurs" in the lot - maybe some of 'em are high-ranking "energy officials?"
