hey gfp, tested tubes usually sell for more, but once you get a tester, most sellers have it calibrated, so there is an extra few hundred. i think some refurbishers run auctions, Dan Nelson does most of the TV-7 a, b, c, d models last i knew and i saw his name listed lots of times on tube auctions. (i have about 6 testers and my best i bought for 300, recently saw one just like it listed as "working" for 1600. Tubes are showing up everywhere. some sellers even sell them as the new "art deco," but call it steam punk! ha.

real problem is the buyers who stick good tubes into 60 year old bad amps, which blow the tube as soon as they are plugged in, the same reason the amps were put up 60 years ago....almost better to test for continuity and sell for that only, as is, no returns. you might get less for them, but tube buyers are the most anal retentive people i have ever dealt with, ha.

looks like another whipsaw market today, when i first looked at phone the dow was up 450, now 227, think with last hour of so. i don't watch as close these days. just hoping the bloom is off the rose.....

take care.
