I was speaking to a tech this weekend who does robotic surgery and they were completely clueless about ISRG's single port platform. The tech thought that there really wasn't much competition coming that would threaten ISRG. I asked about their operating system and how they collect and analyze data and he just gave me a vacant stare. I was amazed at how little the tech knew. It just reminds me that even those that are in this space have no idea of what is happening in the surgical robotics market.
