YeahJL, sorry_for_beating_a_dead_horse_here IMHO We_should_be_pursuing a certification allowing our joy juice on ORGANICALLY_Grown commodities.

May have been pursued, probably not. A topic for Sanjay perhaps. Has any one from Stony Brook EVER APPLIED to US Organics Board to be listed as an acceptable additive on a grown and harvested commodity?

On that note, SECTION 605 of the code gets into percentage on non-organic materials allowed in a product marked and sold as ORGANIC.

Got a link and citation from the NATIONAL CODE FOR ORGANIC MATERIALS Link is here

Nd citation
§205.607 Amending the National List.
(a) Any person may petition the National Organic Standards Board for the purpose of having a substance evaluated by the Board for recommendation to the Secretary for inclusion on or deletion from the National List in accordance with the Act.

(b) A person petitioning for amendment of the National List should request a copy of the petition procedures from the USDA at the address in §205.607(c).

(c) A petition to amend the National List must be submitted to: Program Manager, USDA-AMS-NOP, 1400 Independence Ave. SW., Room 2648 So. Bldg., Ag Stop 0268, Washington, DC 20250-0268.[/quote]

Just seems like this HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED

Thinking the general market will be closed for Good Friday. So, just four trading days left for 2nd Quarter earnings. Hope for some news.
