Hey all. Cool board, just found it. Right up my alley though! I live in rural New England on 5 acres and have a small orchard and vegetable garden (for fresh eating and storage) as well as make maple syrup, raise meat chickens (couple layers too) and raise heritage breed pigs. All organic, no corners cut when it comes to my families food!

Sumisu, where is that quote in your bio from? The only other person I've known to use it was my friends grandmother. It was her mantra. She lived to be over 100 and grew up in a dirt floor sod house in South Dakota on land her family received from the homestead act.
