Vote was closer than we'd like to think. 44+29 = 73, 44/73 = 60%, barely made the majority.

Not trying to rain on your parade, let's hope the next vote draws a higher percentage next vote. It's obviously not always about money (Tax revenue), there's other inherent problems to consider. For example;

Let's face facts, would you rather have people behind the wheel who are stoned or drunk? I've driven fine while stoned. Having too much to drink? Very very dangerous indeed. It's a safer alternative, but not without its costs.
