Thanks for posting Pilot Dave, it gives some of the investors on this board the opportunity to address inaccurate or misleading posts made by some posters that may be well intentioned but are obviously miss informed.

Airborne Wireless Network is developing a communication system that has the potential to completely change the way we receive broadband. The plan is ingenious, using aircraft already flying to act as airborne transmitters/receivers. Of course with something this ground breaking there will be substantial time needed to develop the new technology. We are talking years here not just months. Fortunately ABWN is moving very quickly to develop and bring this technology to market. To do this ABWN has enlisted the help of outside vendors that are experts in their respective fields rather than hiring their own engineering dept and trying to develop the system completely in house. This explains why they have so few people on staff. Why reinvent the wheel?

This is not a get rich quick penny stock scheme. IMHO, the money to be made on this stock is buy and hold long term. For those of us that prefer to trade actively understand that this company is currently years away from turning a profit.

I don't believe the 2 plane test was ever planned to be performed by 737's. The intention of the test is to see if, when they break the laser signal, it will automatically reconnect when the laser is back within line of sight. The ability to perform maneuvers that will purposely break the connection is what is important for this test, not the size of the aircraft. Regardless, the test is still estimated to cost the company 4.1 million, that to me shows full commitment from the company.

I have seen this question asked a few times "if this idea is so great why haven't Facebook, Google, Microsoft, etc. shown an interest in it?"
My response is, how do you know they haven't shown an interest? ABWN is not going to broadcast to the public private meetings they may be having with other companies. I would imagine the price that ABWN would be willing to accept for this technology would be very expensive. I would expect that the companies that would be willing to pony up that kind of cash would probably want to see further development of the technology. Namely, the completion of the two plane test to verify ABWN's pending patent. I will say that I know for fact that meetings have occurred.

While regulatory approval is not something to be taken lightly, I don't believe that it is quite as onerous as some seem to think. ABWN has on staff Jason de Moss to handle the regulatory hurdles that will need to be completed. If the regulatory process was as bad as some have made it seem we would never have anything new developed for aviation. It will be time consuming but not nearly as time consuming as developing the hardware and software necessary to enable Infinitus to be deployed.
