Interestingly I meet with a group that had a number of digesters in the US. They dumped them all for essentially nothing to get out of the own and operate business. Net Loss 25 Million Dollars. Now they want to sell their technology! None of the plants they sold have been restarted.
Impact investors who were basically duped into the "green" movement and thought digesters were the way to go. They just shrugged their shoulders and said "Never Again" to own and operate digesters in the US. Now they want to try to recoup some of the loss by trying to sell a technology that they could not make work????? They have plenty of money and tested the waters. $25MM was not a big deal to them. High risk and they learned a lot!
Time will tell with BLSP, but I personally do not like their plan, and this is due to many years of experience.
