I’m excited to announce the mining activity interest in Medicine Hat Alberta has hit a feverish pitch. Three companies are bidding for energy contracts.

Crypto Mining is a sector play on the mining of Data bits. One bit of data represents a coin. The size of the bit of data changes relative to the coins value it represents.

An example would be the relationship of five outstanding shares to one issued share minus the tax implications.

So a thousand bits of stored data would represent one bit coin. As the industry grows the coin will in time represent a million bits of data. The number of coins has not changed unless they forward split the coin then that ratio will be applied to reflect the new bits of data stored for the value of that one coin in the data storage sector.

Does the cost for the data mining sector goes down. Well yes as there are more main frame computers mass produced for the purpose of mining bits of data.

Does the demand change for the said data mining machines? Yes cause eventually there won’t be enough data to fully utilize the full function of the data mining equipment.

When the later takes place the sector as a whole will fall in value driving down the value of the coin. You want to play the sector ETF you follow the financials of the biggest miner.

I hope this helps to clarify the relationship of outstanding shares to issued shares.
