Drilling a hole in the ground is one thing. Running all the production casing, installing the pumping equipment, and getting all that completed takes time, and resources. My understanding is that weather has played a big part in why things are taking so long. It takes trucks moving big equipment to the drill site and sometimes the roads are inaccessible for trucks that large due to rain and mud. I'm hopeful that the fracking will start soon if it hasn't already which is the final step of stimulating the oil before it moves into production. Once it's in production, there are revenues coming in every day. Then onto the next well which should go much faster considering the weather will be much better in a month. Then 5-6 months of smooth sailing as weather won't be an issue at all. I bet they can ramp up well sites quickly in that period.

My post is only my opinion, I recommend you always do your own DD! I am not a licensed broker or a professional by any means, so take what I say as entertainment value at best.
