Hard to say. I don't believe any institution was dumping that amount of shares at the close. That makes no sense. The only thing that makes any sense to me is some group, or institution, put in a large bid and the MM's filled it. That fact that there were quite a number of other large buys ah is very unusual to say the least. The fact that NVAX is so heavily shorted makes me lean towards short covering. In any case, I think we will have a much better understanding next week. Stan said in the CC that they are very close to having the interim data completed for efficacy with the RSV vaccine. Maybe it is ready, or news leaked, or there is BP interest as has been speculated. We will just have to wait and see.
