I invest in the industry but never used it. Retired military pilot and retired engineer so never had the time or job to try it. Might after it gets legal but for now a good single malt scotch does the trick. Still you are probably spot on. I can see where brand will be the determinant in this industry. Somebody will be the Coke of pot and someone will be the Pepsi, the rest will grab small market shares. I'd imagine the first year or two after legalization will be a M&A madhouse.
