at face value this seems like a very positive development. to me it implies that GERS took some corrective action

The company might have been forced to "take some corrective action".

I filed a complaint with the SEC regarding the lack of any filing by this company in well over a year. I announced it on this board in message 45738, posted Saturday March 24th. I also posted the text of their instantaneous receipt of my complaint.

The following message was in my e-mail inbox yesterday. The greeting (Dear Harry Winston) used my real name instead of my IHub pseudonym. All of these links were clickable in the original message.

Dear "Harry Winston":

Thank you for contacting the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

You seek current information on Greenshift Corporation (OTCMKTS:GERS). As you have noted, the last 10-K filed on April 22, 2017 for the period ending December 31, 2015 and the last 10-Q was filed on November 15, 2016 for the period ending September 30, 2016. You can review all of the company's filings at: https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?action=getcompany&CIK=0001269127&owner=exclude&count=40&hidefilings=0.

A "Pink No Information" alert has been posted on the OTCMarkets website indicating that the company may not be making its material information publicly available. You could find information about the company on OTC's website at https://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/GERS/overview. We understand that you may like to access information about the company's current filings, but that information is not available and we cannot tell you whether or not the company will submit its required filing.

Please know that the SEC's Delinquent Filings Group in its Division of Enforcement conducts investigations into possible violations of the federal securities laws' periodic reporting obligations, and prosecutes administrative proceedings against these companies when appropriate. The Division of Corporation Finance identifies reporting companies that are delinquent filers and usually provides them with notice of their failure to submit periodic reports. If a reporting company identified as a delinquent filer fails to submit its periodic reports, the SEC may revoke the registration of the reporting company. For additional information about the SEC's Delinquent Filings Program, please visit the following location on our website: http://www.sec.gov/divisions/enforce/delinquent.htm.

For information on the company's current status, we suggest you contact the Division of Corporations in Delaware, where the company is incorporated. Contact information can be found at: https://corp.delaware.gov/.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

This was signed by an attorney in the SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy. For privacy reasons, I will not name this person.

The message also included a copy of my original complaint.

1. The SEC does take complaints seriously.

2. Someone will respond if you file a complaint.

3. When the complaint makes a valid point, some corrective action will be taken.

it implies that GERS took some corrective action, appealed to the DTCC and was successful.

I deserve some credit for their "success".

A "Pink No Information" alert has been posted on the OTCMarkets website indicating that the company may not be making its material information publicly available.

4. If a company doesn't fulfill it's obligations to the SEC, they may not take any action until someone like me does file a complaint.

Harry Winston, still seeing a diamond in the rough
