I have no clue who is buyer the cheap shares. Like you and others, I could only venture a guess. There are many possible guesses, one of which is speculative investors who buy stock in a poorly performing company with thought of the company raising out of the dust for a home run. Well, one can hope, and some have money to invest which they would not miss. Heck, I know of a guy who recently was pleased with the lower than expected price of his new vacation home which he plans use who about two weeks a year. He was very pleased when the construction cost (not including land) came in at less than 100 million dollars. Money has little meaning so some folks. Some of those few folks have their fun with very long shot speculative moves. I know of another fellow who spends more than $15,000 per day in jet fuel getting between his various properties and projects. That cost is just a little pocket change to him. A few thousand dollars in stocks performing like BORK could be seen as more productive and rational than spending hours a day running video games all day in the background of your office computer.
But then, ha ha, some really do believe a cow can jump over thea moon, and airliner contrails are really something else. In insanity of ignorance is action is common in this world. I have a friend stood outside the pentagon and watched an airliner fly into the building, and yet others, who were not there, call him and a thousand other eye witnesses a liar.
