Knappogue 21 Year Old Single Malt

Knappogue makes a lot of our lists, but this special 21-year release should make yours. 21 is actually a blend of 21-and-23-year-old single malts, and the result is a heady, brooding whiskey for an Irish single malt, because two-plus decades really gets a lot of complexity out of ex-bourbon casks. Clove and cinnamon and vanilla make an appearance on a backdrop that is starting to show just a few hints of leather. It’s an incredible sipping whiskey—unfortunately they only made 1,400 bottles.
