Kind of..World Airways has a long history, they operated a small fleet of wide bodies (DC10 and 747) for mostly cargo ops, but some passenger service. They shut down a few years ago but a group of investors feels they can bring it back from the dead and operate a new fleet of 787's from MIA and LAX to these so called "secondary" markets. The thing is...the major airlines are already well aware of and flying, where able, to those secondary markets. Look at the AA route map from PHL to Europe. Lots of mid size cities like Prague, Lisbon, Edinburgh, etc.

I welcome anyone who wants to try to make a go of it in the airline business though. But if they've been trying for 30 years, maybe it's time to hang it up and turn the lights off.
