Closes green today? MM's do not want to be holding this at a low price if news comes out after the close, or before the open. Right now MM's are collecting cheap shares from stop-loss sellers and any short sellers. MM's go bottom fishing during the day to load up on lower priced shares and then sell them the next morning for higher prices. That is exactly what Market Makers do, they make markets. Unfortunately, this usually means the retail investor buys in the morning high and sells in the afternoon for losses.
Wash, rinse, repeat so the MM's keep making their daily profits.
