Kudlow said on radio he hates GSEs. Or something to that affect. He wants less gvt involvement in housing finance. I listened to the segment that was kindly posted here via dropbox, with his guest Rosner. Kudlow clearly explains at the top of that segment how he dislikes the GSEs. If he is appointed, it could be a problem for the GSEs if that's truly what Kudlow thinks.

Rosner filled him in, of course, and Kudlow seemed to be somewhat aware/sympathetic to shareholders' rights. But he also kept invoking the name Peter Wallison as a counter argument to what Rosner was saying. And Kudlow seemed to make sure to mention his understanding of Wallison's point of view, and we all know how anti GSE Wallison is!
