However, with some background in software patents, I have been very concerned that their IP is not nearly as strong as some would indicate. From OP3, it sounds like they belive this violates the "system" IP --- not from a code standpoint. One difference is that "decoded" information is sent to the servers. With NEOM, a digitilized picture is sent and "decoded" at the server. There is currently not enough processing power in a phone (yet) to do much more than relatively simple processes, then rely on the server to check if it is a data from some kind of picture that can be matched with text or a barcode (or perhaps picture database for Mobot).
From a search perspective, there are LOTS of companies with many, many patents and research re visual search. NEOM is by definition involved in some search technology, both via Mobot and in matching a picture of a barcode/other printed code, with a database.
So, I am left with thinking that NEOM is relying on their definition of their "system" of providing user with a url. I hope they are correct, but think this is going to be difficult to prove violation of a patent when there are clearly differences. That is...execpt of course, if OP3 has embedded some code directly from NEOM.
