It does nothing. A patent only has value if there is demonstrable value in the product and demand for it. Given that ecrypt1 has shown no commercial demand or success since it was developed, a patent would be nothing more than a talking point for the company in trying to pump the stock....because really...if no one is buying it...why would someone want to copy it?
