Scams like MMEX spend small $$ to create the illusion, to generate more self-enrichment down the road. That's a common tactic.

Hank's "investing" in the scam....pay $1000 here and there for show, knowing he'll make thousands times back.

"It is easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled."

For those that don't get it, it means that people need to be more careful, and do good due diligence.
