Looks like I need to repost this:

"mREITs have no floor because they consist of extremely highly leveraged portfolios of mortgage bonds. Many have gone down... and never came back.

IMO, investors shouldn't have more than 5% of their assets in mREITs. I own none. Refer to the sector's 40+ year history to learn why. "
