Orchid Island Capital Inc. (ORC)

Agree, shareholders must demand a damn good explanation. ORC is one of the worst performing NYSE stocks of recent years. But ORC's discount from BV should have been a clue about its perceived low quality.

Contrast this drop with my oft stated view that the best dividend stocks aren't "Dividend Stocks." I avoid stocks that yield higher than normal payouts. In recent years, my best performers, like Boeing which doubled last year, yield about 1%-2%.

To be crystal clear, I don't own ORC or any mREITs.
