My guess is that some within Conatus do know today whether the results are "good" or "bad". Here is my reasoning. This first study has 60 patients. Enrollment likely took a couple months or more and patients are likely from 10 to 20 different "medical centers." No way, does every med center report data to Conatus at the exact same time. It likely gets reported as it is collected or at the end of the total number of collections. So, I believe raw data filters in to Conatus over 6 to 9 weeks and then data crunchers within Conatus need to tabulate/summarize/analyze and this may take a week or so and then it needs to be reviewed and discussed and packaged and this likely takes another week or two.
So, since Conatus is confident they will be able to report results in Q2, that means to me they are sure it will be early June at the latest which means that numbers should start getting meaningful within Conatus by some time in early March.
Just speculation on my part.
I wish someone who has worked on this sort of stuff would chime in.
