I agree with Trump that something should be done about the $800,000,000,000 trade imbalance, but instituting tariffs/taxes isn't the way to do it. Trade deals should be re-negotiated. Maybe his tough talk on tariffs is intended to get our trading partners to realize that he wants to level the playing field. If the EU puts a 25% tariff on cars imported from the USA, then we'll do the same to them.
