You don’t have to short a stock to make money on a down day. There is no doubt that Clay could be triggering the walk down that you speak of often. If there are 600 followers all holding only 10K shares and say half of them walk the price down so that the other half can take advantage of week hands and buy twice as much back cheap and then see the price go back up, sell 75% of their shares at a good profit and still have their original shares.
