I'm confused.. my link said that people were not being diagnosed with Alzheimer's when they should be. Your argument is the other way around.

The link you just posted assumes that plaque must be necessary to confirm Alzheimer's diagnosis, this is not the case.

Realistically speaking, I suspect that there are several different CNS diseases being grouped under the name of "Alzheimer's". In light of advanced imaging and diagnostic results the entire disease category may be abandoned and divided into more therapeutically appropriate subsets.

Still, this does not invalidate the Anavex 2-73 trial and preclinical research because it is expected to benefit a variety of CNS diseases.
