Mr. John Joseph Trizzino, B.S., M.B.A. has been an Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Novavax, Inc. since March 2014. Mr. Trizzino served as the Chief Executive Officer of ImmunoVaccine Inc., from September 2011 to August 31, 2013. Mr. Trizzino served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Novavax, Inc. from March 2010 to September 21, 2011. He served as Senior Vice President of International & Government Alliances at Novavax Inc., from July 2009 to March 2010. He served as Vice President of Trade and Distribution of MedImmune Inc., since April 2006 and served as its Vice President of the vaccine franchise. He was responsible for developing and implementing strategies for distribution of MedImmune's current and future products. He was also responsible for managing relationships with wholesalers and distributors. Mr. Trizzino served as Senior Vice President of business development at ID Biomedical Corp. since July 2004. During his tenure at ID Biomedical, he negotiated its $2.3 billion U.S. influenza vaccine distribution agreement and was responsible for government relations in addition to his business development duties. Previously, he worked for Henry Schein's medical group for eight years in roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of business development and Vice President and General Manager of General Injectables and Vaccines. Mr. Trizzino has more than 28 years of experience in the vaccine industry and has worked closely with public and private partners including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services and various vaccine distributors. He has managed a number of important flu vaccine products, including FluMist and Fluviral (Flulaval by GSK), created profitable global marketing partnerships. He served as a Director of ImmunoVaccine Inc. from September 26, 2011 to August 31, 2013. He works with the CDC and Influenza Summit and his work as a Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) Board member. Mr. Trizzino holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the C.W. Post Campus, Long Island University and a Master's in Business Administration from the New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
