Hi everyone, new here.

First of all, thank you all for the information you keep posting. I've been following the board for some time and found it quite helpful, so once again, thank you!

There have been a couple of questions that keep reappearing - I believe I have found the answers through my research on the web.

1.PRs apparently relaying old news about cell line and MCB tests: this is a quite informative article on the subject

It states, for example, the difference between cell line cloning and creation of MCB

2. Metronomic trials ifosfamide: this article from the austrianova.com site publications http://www.mdpi.com/1999-4923/6/3/447/htm discusses in Chapters 2.2. and 3. several such trials with doses from 1 to 2 g/m2 which report at least medium grade toxicity:
"In a phase 2 trial in which 1.6 g/m2/day ifosfamide was administered for five days to 21 evaluable patients, seven cases of stable disease with mostly non-severe, Grades 1–2 toxicity were reported [17]. In another study, up to 1.5 g/m2/day ifosfamide were given as a 10-day continuous IV infusion to patients with various tumor types, and one of six patients with pancreatic cancer showed a partial response, with a second showing a tumor reduction of 45% [18]. The major side effects observed were leukopenia with granulocytopenia, whilst subjective side-effects included nausea/vomiting and fatigue (probably related to neurotoxicity). More encouraging clinical effects have been observed in other trials, where medium doses of ifosfamide (1–2 g/m2) have been investigated, but this is accompanied by medium-grade toxicity profiles."

Hope this info helps. I personally think PMCB is doing OK. They are just too optimistic/overestimating themselves. These are different times. For whatever reason one can rarely rely on a person, company or institution to do their job properly. If it took me 6 tries to cancel an insurance how much more difficult biotech must be?
