The last sentence of the 2nd paragraph states;

The mine is now producing gold with the company looking to reach production of 10,000 tons a day by December, 2017.

Now producing gold...

The company has portrayed itself as producing gold prior to December 2017.

You may be comfortable rationalizing why or why not production has been consistent. That's your prerogative. For many of us, we feel the company's statements have been misleading, at best.
