I realize Jinbo is huge and so is Wang Dequn, in China. They probably have lots of money and assets and a backing from the government, as some have suggested I believe. So why the need to go public and that too in the non transparent pink sheets? I would have thought it would not have been difficult to raise capital PRIVATELY for such a big company in China?! So what's the need to go PUBLIC? And that too in the pinks. Why not do it like Alibaba did and IPO on Nasdaq straight???
I do realize the company may have voiced their desire to go to NASDAQ in the future. But my concern is why in the FUTURE? why even go on the pinks? I am having a hard time understanding how a company with such capital and "might" behind it could need the ROs route to an "alternative public offering"? To save some time and a few bucks? That's hard to believe. And save what time? It's already been over a year? How long did Alibaba take to IPO directly on NASDAQ after first deciding to do so? Probably the same amount of time?
Sorry for the long winded question but I wanted to make sure I also explained that I do understand aspects that have already been spoken about. But that my question arises AFTER considering those aspects.
Whatever I say here is my own opinion. Invest at your own risk.
