In regards to the flying car. I recognize that boatloads of money has been spent throughout the years on modifying the rotary engine design but has Moller/Freedom Motors reserved the thought that a different engine technology is needed to produce a practical flying car that doesn't stress the motors to the max. It is said that a tubocharger is needed to boost Moller's current 90 horsepower (hp) engines power output. The math shows that at a 5,000 foot hover for the 3,120 pound air car ( 3,120 / 8 engines = 390 pounds per engine) at least 177hp are needed and 155hp at sea level. Turbochargers are max 50% efficient which would bring the power output to 135hp per engine.

If this multi-national corporation doesn't invest in Moller/Freedom motors, or their proposed contract fails to satisfy you, or any funding is a long way off, is Moller/Freedom motors open to licensing some other type of engine technology. The reality is that no one is getting younger here and Moller already sits on a global financing platform (the stock market). New technology excitement is what Moller needs.

I understand that there might be some type of personal passion attached to the rotary engine because of all of the time and money spent, but the math shows that it might not be the right engine for the flying car. Thomas Edison was passionate about DC electricity because it was his baby. Sure it worked but it was not the best product, financially or practically. It took the corporate mindset of J.P. Morgan to move away from DC and embrace AC electricity. And look General Electric is one of the most prominent global corporations of the day after 100 years.

I don't see anything wrong with Moller/Freedom Motors licensing technology and being a manufacturer of the flying car as opposed to being the "inventor" of the flying car.
