Sorry NO RECEIVERSHIP. I am absolutely 95% certain. If receivership was the choice then why don't mnuchin just support Corker's reform? Why don't the administration team up with Hensarling and make it happen? Why did they agree on the buffer? When the treasury credit was drawn why didnt the administration step up and bash the GSEs? It was the perfect opportunity to crush the GSEs!! But nope they did not and they will let it play out just to step in when Congress fails. Corker, Hensarling and David Stevens all announced their retirement date in September. I believe that will be the turning point of reform.
