TRTC preferred to use TOXIC convertibles simply because it's cheap, easy and low risk for the insiders if you have a publicly traded ticker.
As an accredited investor, I receive and review quite a few pitches for capital. You are very misinformed to think otherwise.
Corporate partnership and investment will be the next wave. The general public has very limited choices, but that's not a reason to invest in a company just because they can.
If TRTC didn't have such a pool of starry eyed retail equity purchasers of their converted debt it would be dead.
