the educated/informed investing public already know that my statement is both correct & factual.

Daily Short Volume is meaningless as The Trade cycle is Trade Date plus 2 days for settlement. Daily only shows the First leg of a transaction and doesn't reconcile based upon settlements made seconds later as the trade has yet another 2 days to settle.
