BUFF +5.8% premarket<>General Mills (NYSE:GIS) is moving into the pet food business with a deal to buy Blue Buffalo (NASDAQ:BUFF) for roughly $8B in cash, CNBC reports.

The deal, which values the natural pet food company at $40 a share, is expected to be announced shortly.
