speculation usually is ultimately a speculation of large profits at some unspecified time down the road. On the OTC the share prices normally are due to speculation about what might happen simply because the vast majority of OTC stocks are in the 'might happen' mode - and not actually profitable. The MJ and crypto plays that do so well do so only because they are seen as industries in which a company possibly could become very profitable. Of course most traders don't really think any one company will be 'the one' but profits and speculation about profits is all part of the picture even though it often gets buried in the hype.

However, since ultimately profits are what determines the true value of a company, they matter and they absolutely affect prices. People speculate about all kinds of things, and future profit is one of those speculations. My post was a speculation about the future financial performance of FHBC.

I've seen plenty of OTC stocks do very well once the market catches on to the fact that they are different and actually are profitable. Add growth the that story and they do even better. There are plenty of OTC investors who are thirsty for real profits, and there are plenty of traders who realize that and will trade accordingly.
