I'm glad we did so because instead of the defeat of Japan costing us hundreds of thousands of American lives, it cost them that and us only two bombs. If I were president and such a situation ever came up, I would not hesitate to weigh those American soldiers lives in the balance and make the same decision. There are those who wish to rewrite history and make Truman the evil one. They are WRONG.
