Wanted to thank you as well for your research!

I'm a bit gun shy when it comes to "connecting the dots" since I've been here over a year (if you catch my "drift") (good use of "drift", right?)
However, at least we have some excitement now!

At the risk of sounding stoopit, can you (or anyone) briefly explain how/what a "backstop" works? In other words, if "x" doesn't happen, "z" will occur. TIA
