I have often referred to my situation when I sin as ....I slip, I slid, I fall and get all dusty, but through my faith I pick my self up, knock off the dust and carry on------Never really knew or understood where I got that from, I always thought it came from 1st John and reckon a good part did come from there, but, this morning in my reading I came across this, then followed the ref. to see where it went......encouraging

Psalm 37: 23&24-----"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.

Then I went to these passages.....Ps. 145:14---The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.

Proverbs 24:16-----For the righteous man may fall 7 times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity

Mic. 7:8-----Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me..

Jus a thought.....maybe some will think of the enemy as a person they are in conflict with, but, think of the enemy at the devil/satan, he is the true enemy working through persons, places and situations

Scripture says, believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ and you will be saved-----we will only be made completely perfect when we get to heaven, so until then may I suggest we learn what "believe" really means, strive to live up to that and when we sin, which we most assuredly will, learn how to pick ourselves up, knock off the dust and carry on. Forgiveness comes to those who believe, I say this as IMO those who do not believe do not think they need forgiveness

God Bless
