Airbus Orders and Deliveries January 2018.

During January, Airbus provided customers with 21 A320 Family jetliners (taking overall deliveries of the single-aisle Airbus aircraft to 8,000), along with two widebody A330-300s and four A350-900s.

At month’s end, Airbus’ overall backlog of jetliners remaining to be delivered stood at 7,253 – representing approximately nine years of production at current rates.

This backlog represents just one aircraft manufacturer, and there are many more.

AM will eventually play a huge role in helping to speed up deliveries, and Sigma Labs, IMO, will have a major role inspecting newly designed parts as they're being made, layer by layer.

It's no wonder Boeing, Honewell, Lockheed, and others are trying to get this new facility up this year for full scale AM production.
