Exactly, You can not count on PR's as DD. You should consider it Propaganda and try to find out if it is true, and months later see if they acted on it.

Kind of like when a company signs a LOI. Easy to say you have intent. But most of the time, nothing ever comes of it.

On the Homegoods thing, Last year they sold out according to the PR. I have not been able to find our products anywhere. I have tried every place they have said, went to their website, searched using different terms, have not found our products anywhere. Checked online at Homegoods, Nothing. Since there are 4 stores not that far from me, but all in different directions, rather than drive to each, I decided to call and go to the closest to me. You saw the results, one said they did have some product once, but now do not and and presently not selling any of their products. The other 3 said no, they do not carry the products. I did not dig any deeper, the 4 store sample was enough for me. You can go to homegoods website and find ones near you and call or go check. Any of us can. Take pics of what you see if there.

One of the key Phrases they used even on the initial order and on restock was:

distributed to 400+ locations as needed

This was on the initial order. So maybe all stores never really got any product and just a few did? That would not be in in the initial order if all stores got the product, right? They probably have 400+ stores, but the way it is worded, distributed to 400+ locations as needed, doesn't imply all stores stocked the product. It could have gone to 3 stores for all we know.
