They DEFINITELY knew that the news was being released today.... that explains the high volume and price increase over the last week.
As to why they kept the funding open till Friday,they wanted to be Sure to raise a lot of $$ just in case not as many warrant holders accept the tender offer of .50 which expires on Feb 28. Interesting to see how this plays out.
